Why the Banksia?
The Banksia is a genus of Australian Wildflower.
Resilient
They are found in a wide variety of landscapes from rainforest to arid landscapes.
Vital
A critical part of the food chain in the Australian bush, they feed a range of nectarivorous animals from bees to bats.
Fearless
They are pyrophytic and have the rare evolutionary trait to not only withstand the treacherous heat of wildfire, but many require this ignition to sprout their seeds.
Adaptive
They don't just embrace the ferocity of fire, they are usually the first to emerge and replenish a drastically changed ecosystem.

Banksia Ventures is a Venture Lab that acts as a holding company for an array of businesses and products in our portfolio.We team up with entrepreneurs, validate ideas swiftly, and then put in the people and processes to scale startups into viable businesses.Our mission is to accumulate a diverse business portfolio all under the Banksia Ventures umbrella; to diversify risk, leverage learnings and build an incredible ecosystem.
